1283 - Job Japan Head of Accounting
Major global securities firm is looking for a head of accounting operation, who can join their start-up team in Tokyo. The candidate should be knowledgeable not only about US GAAP, but also Japan GAAP. He (or she) is expected to be fully aware of regulatory reporting requirements in Japan, not to mention, corporate accounting practices. He is expected to have at least a few year work experience with financial services industry, too. Other expectations for this function are business level English, as the daily correspondence with overseas offices is necessary. Product knowledge about equities and official accounting qualifications (Japan or US CPA, Japan or US tax accountant, etc.) are not absolutely required, but they are definitely considered a plus.
